Join us for one of the most amazing festivals in the Midwest as we take you to “China Lights” at the Boerner Botanical Garden in Milwaukee. You may have heard about it or seen it on TV. There is nothing like experiencing it in person!
This trip departs in the afternoon and promises some festive snacks on board as we travel to Milwaukee. Upon arrival we will enjoy an early dinner at one of the most legendary Chinese Restaurants in Milwaukee. We will celebrate the Chinese Culture of the area with a presentation from a member of the Chinese Heritage Society while we dine on freshly made entrees from their fantastic buffet.
After dinner, it is off for a behind the scenes tour of the China Lights before the festival begins that evening. Following our tour, you will enjoy VIP seating at the performance venue for acrobats, musicians, and dancers. After the show you are free to tour the gardens on your own. You will love seeing them fully illuminated and in motion, telling their stories of Chinese history and culture in a whimsical way.
One final surprise awaits as we return home to Green Bay.
Trip Notes:
We are working in conjunction with Lamers and our destination partners to ensure that all health and safety standards are met to provide a safe travel environment on the motorcoach and throughout the day.
The bus will arrive at the Park and Ride on Hoffman Road at 12:15 pm. We ask everyone to stay in/near their cars until the motorcoach arrives and you see your hosts.
The bus will depart at 12:30 pm, and return approximately 10:00 pm.
Two weeks prior to departure, you will receive a final itinerary for the day with complete details of the trip. Details will include any safety precautions needed on your part; a list of what to bring and wear; and any other things you will need to bring along to make the day complete.
If any changes to the itinerary need to take place, we will notify you as soon as we are made aware of them. To make sure you get any updates, please make sure to provide us with your preferred email address and phone numbers so we can reach you promptly.
We will also send out notifications via Mailchimp - so if you see notices from them, please accept them.
We are making every effort to offer you all our usual amenities while sticking to the guidelines set forth by the state to ensure your safety while travelling with us.
Remember to indicate your seat selection by consulting the chart under “Additional Information” above. Seats are assigned as orders come in, and the chart is updated weekly.
