We made our maiden voyage to Michigan for this spectacular trip in 2022 and before we left we booked the dates for 2023! We knew people that couldn’t make it last year would really love it, and even many that did go would like to return. So, we are proud to offer this trip (with some slight variations) again this season.
We will spend 4 days and 3 nights in the Traverse City Area enjoying the beauty of the Fall Colors and all the great things Michigan has to offer this time of year. The trip includes lodging at the amazing Sugar Beach Resort, meals, attractions, tours, gratuities and taxes. We will be traveling in a beautifully appointed Discovery Motorcoach and will be serving snacks and surprises throughout the trip, just as we do on our day trips.
The tour will include some historic stops, some foodie stops, wineries, cider houses and of course some great restaurants and shopping opportunities! We have pricing options for Single, Double, Triple and Quad Occupancy Guests.
We will have two departure points for this trip. Guests may board in Sheboygan (Discovery Tours Terminal) or in Green Bay (Hoffman Road Park and Ride). Departure times and full details will be provided this summer. Anticipate an early departure on October 3, with a return on October 6 around dinner time.

Lodging
Our accommodations are at the Sugar Beach Resort on Little Traverse Bay. Each guest will have a Bay View Room to truly enjoy the changing colors along the water. The rooms are spacious and each room features a Queen bed AND a King bed so sharing a room with others is a great option! A Continental Breakfast is delivered to your room each day, at the time YOU specify with the choices YOU select the night before. The hotel features a beautiful pool area that guests really enjoyed after busy days of touring last year.
Meals
Our tour includes 10 meals at some of the best restaurants in the area. We have some new spots mixed in with a couple of the favorites from our previous trip. We will also be serving coffee, beverages and some wonderful treats throughout the trip on our motorcoach. When you register, please note any food allergies or intolerances so we can provide appropriate substitutions for you throughout the trip. All meals will include tax and gratuity.
Sights to See
We will explore different areas of the “upper lower” peninsula each day. We will be returning to Castle Farms and Gardens along with the Grand Traverse Commons and a few other stops from last year that were guest favorites. NEW THIS YEAR is a full day exploring Traverse City proper, different routes, different wineries, shops and markets. There is so much to explore in this area it’s hard to fit it into four days!
Registration
Registration for this trip is by check. If you would like to use your credit card to pay, please contact us directly so we can let you know what the service charge is on the transaction (darn those service fees!) and take your payment over the phone. The seating chart and inventory level will be updated frequently on the website so you will still be able to select your seats and indicate any travel companions you have when you mail in your registration. Because everything is being mailed in, you do not need to “checkout” on the website.
When mailing in your registration, please provide all of your information, including email and a cell phone number where we can reach you throughout the trip. Also indicate any food allergies or intolerances. Let us know where your pick up point will be as well.
An initial confirmation will be sent to you when your payment is received. A final confirmation will be sent out closer to our departure with timing, what to pack, what to bring, etc.
